metrocard displays…not living up to their potential
When you use a debit Metrocard at the turnstile, the reader displays how much you were charged and how much you have left on your card. But when you use a daily/weekly/monthly time limit Metrocard, the reader just displays “Go”. Why doesn’t it show the expiration date of the time limit card? I’d love to know I have only ___ days left before I need to buy my new monthly card. It’s a useful piece of readily accessible information, but it’s being neglected.

They do it on the bus but not the train. Even more important, the booth people no longer sell metro cards or tokens, so what the fuck do they do all day?
